The marketing sutras

Seth Godin’s book, The Practice, and The Yoga Sutras by Patanjali share a common thread: they distill complex ideas into concise, actionable principles.

While one book is focused on spiritual and philosophical guidance, the other provides a framework for navigating creative and marketing work landscapes.

Despite both books being from different times and cultures, Godin leans into the ancient tradition of sharing easily memorable and practically applicable information to help improve the lives of others.

What I love about both books is their consideration of the individualized nature of reading. The passages that stand out, the ones you want to linger over, speak to what you need in the moment.

They not tied to specific trends; they are not in your feed because you interacted with them last week. They stand out because they sate an metaphysical hunger that only you feel.
