Paid social and search boosts clearing applications

In 2017, the University of Kent aimed to increase clearing applications by 10%, through their partnership with Arke Agency to improve their paid social and search campaigns. The campaigns led to 40% more clicks and 165% more impressions on the university website, which ultimately helped the university exceed their 10%+ application goal and hit their enrollment target.

The strategy:

  • Arke used 14 individual search campaigns with varying budgets that reflected the individual places that needed to be filled

  • A brand awareness campaign and clearing-focused campaign ran alongside the specific campaign to help Kent compete with other institutions during this highly competitive time
